met my old board mod at the grocery store


was buying bagels and some cheese

snuck up behind him, tapped him on his back
he jumped and yelled "holy jeez!"

told him I missed the Deuce from time to time
and all the characters and mods

he said he hadn't banned a soul in years
and for that, he thanked the gods

*piano interlude*

I told him we should go and get a drink
he said he had to get back home

I said I'd post about this on the ish
and he said "whatever, drone"

we talked about the internet
we talked about the now

tried to find important stuff to say
but neither one knew how

we talked about the internet

we both remarked how all this stupid crap
ain't as urgent as it seems

by now we both were walkin out the door
he took a left, I took a right

and as I turned to make my way back home
the Deuce faded from sight

1 lb ground beef or 1 lb ground turkey
1/2 medium yellow onion , chopped
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning
6 large flour tortillas
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
2 -3 cups shreddedtaco cheese or 2 -3 cups cheddar cheese
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces sour cream


Directions:

Brown ground meat/turkey and onion; drain.

Add taco seasoning and stir in refried beans.

Mix soup and sour cream in a separate bowl.

Spread 1/2 sour cream mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish.

Tear up 3 tortillas and spread over sour cream mixture.

Put 1/2 the meat bean mixture over that.

Add a layer of cheese.

You could put some hot sauce on this now.

Repeat the layers.

Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 20-30 minutes.

Absolutely delicious. This is how I prepared this recipe: I greased a 9X13 baking dish with Crisco. I used 1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef instead of 1 lb. Since this is a layered recipe (you will be making two layers), the extra 1/2 lb. worked great. I added a can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies (undrained) into the cooked beef mixture and I used cream of chicken instead of mushroom. I made my own taco seasoning (recipe 25449 from this site is terrific). I always double the taco seasoning recipe even for just 1 lb. of ground beef but you can experiment and decide what is best for your family. I am convinced that when it comes to packaged taco seasonings, your recipe will only be as good as the brand of seasonings you choose because some of them are so strong (not heat) that the flavor is overpowering and that can be all you taste. This includes those layered taco dips too. I followed the recipe exactly regarding the remaining ingredients. I thought the ground beef mixture with the onions, seasoning and refried beans was too thick so I added some water to the skillet and stirred it around till it was the right consistency. Give this recipe a try, it is delicious. I served this with spanish rice, warm tortilla chips, sour cream etc...

2 lbs round steak or sirloin tip roast
3 lbs hamburger
2 sweet (Vidalia) onions chopped
2 green peppers chopped
3-4 cloves garlic minced through garlic press
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 14 oz cans chili hot beans
1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
1 14 oz can beef broth
cayenne pepper to taste
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro chopped

Cut steak/roast into small chunks, brown & set aside. Brown hamburger, draining juice that cooks out. Add steak/roast into hamburger, add onions & cook for about 5 minutes until onions are translucent. Add garlic and 1 tablespoon chili powder & cook for another minute. Add chili beans and tomatoes (juices included). Cook for a few minutes, then add tomato sauce and beef broth until mixture is the consistency you want. Add a second tablespoon chili powder & cook for about 30 minutes. Add last tablespoon chili powder and green peppers. Cook for another 30 minutes. Taste & add cayenne pepper to suit your taste. Add cilantro 5 minutes before serving.

Named after cookie bars served in a high school cafeteria, these chocolate chip bars are soft, moist, and addictive!

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or a mix of both
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine the oil, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix together well. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well inbetween additions. Stir in the vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips. Spread the mixture into a 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until light golden brown.
